Perfect Saturday: Biking and Beers with Bros

Once in a while I am blessed with a perfect Saturday.

My perfect Saturday involves waking up, not being hung over, getting my sweat on, eating something delicious, then playing the day away, mostly outside, preferably with people I love. Last Saturday hit all the sweet spots :)

Dan and Rob and Rob’s girlfriend Dana came to Brooklyn with their bicycles. I didn’t even ask; Rob stunned me Friday night with this brilliant idea. We met up at my favorite local pizzeria for “warm up slices” as Dan likes to call them.

How can you choose between a fresh margarita slice and the perfect plain? You don’t.
After fueling up we peddled on. Check out the awesome view of the Manhattan Bridge from, you guessed it, the Brooklyn Bridge. Long Beach cruisers made it up to the peak! But hybrid bikes are super cool and get it done a little easier :) The Brooklyn Bridge is perfect for lovers…
friends and family :)

On the other side of the bridge we made a quick stop to check out some insane skateboarders at the court-house, then peddled cross town and towards the West Side Highway.
Destination? Frying Pan.
The Frying Pan is a combination of two historic ships that are permanently docked in the Hudson River. It’s the perfect spot for day drinking, eating and hanging on a beautiful day.We were still pretty full from the “warm up slices” so we stuck to drinking and hanging. What better way to spend Saturday afternoon than putting back a few buckets of Coronas?
We sat back and enjoyed the beautiful views. It seemed everyone in New York was trying to make the most of the Indian summer.

Day turned to night and we got hungry. (Biking and drinking all day will do that to you.)

We biked over to Meme Mediterranean in the West Village where I was instructed to order for the table. Not. A. Problem.

The only thing that could have made that day better is if I had remembered to save room for desert.
